Inside the Türkiye Edition Summit: Key Moments From the Day

The event was opened by Melihcan Yücel (Visa), who introduced the agenda and shared what the audience could expect in the sessions ahead.

Building on this introduction, the program continued with a keynote from Jak Telyaz (Visa).

Telyaz shared Visa’s forward-looking vision, offering insights into the role of Agentic AI within Visa’s technology stack and how it is shaping the future of digital payments.

The first set of discussions highlighted the experiences of the VIPE Journey of the 2025 Türkiye Fintechs.

In the first panel, moderated Onur Çakır (Visa), joined by Latif Vardar(MagicPay) and **Ekin Gün Öncü (Text2Test).The two founders unpacked their early product learnings, customer expectations, and the signals shaping their development roadmaps. Their insights highlighted the importance of iteration, speed, and problem–solution clarity when building for financial institutions in Türkiye’s dynamic market.

In the second founder panel, moderated Melihcan Yücel (Visa); Batu Sat (Mall IQ), İslam Rızabeyli (Corpowid), and Ahmet Şüküroğlu (Zuzzuu) reflected on operating in fast-paced environments and discussed the role of VIPE’s global-level experience in accelerating growth. They also emphasized the value of a test-and-learn culture and how close collaboration with financial institutions strengthens trust and drives product-market fit.

Following the founder conversations, Batu Sat (Mall IQ) returned to the stage with an interactive session on location intelligence. He demonstrated real-world use cases that showed how financial institutions can engage customers at the right time and place through accurate behavioral insights.

The agenda then transitioned to emerging technologies.

Cavit Yantaç (Microsoft) delivered an engaging session introducing the fundamentals of AI agents, explaining why AI has accelerated so quickly in recent years and how agentic systems can automate workflows — from email responses to presentation generation.

Right after, Burak Ilgıcıoğlu (Visa) outlined Visa’s perspective on Agentic Commerce, showing how autonomous decision-making mechanisms will reshape digital customer experiences. He introduced the Visa Intelligent Commerce framework and explained how the classic “Know Your Customer” paradigm is evolving into “Know Your Agent.”

To close the program, Onur Çakır (Visa) moderated a session with Latif Vardar (MagicPay) and Mehmet Üner (ENA Ventures), who walked the audience through the journey behind MagicPay’s recent investment round. They discussed key turning points, lessons learned, and the realities of navigating funding processes in today’s market, offering founders an honest and practical view of raising capital.

With 55 applications, 5 selected fintechs, 50+ hours of mentorship, 106 introductions, and 5 successful collaborations, the 2025 Türkiye Edition reaffirmed its position as one of the most active and high-performing markets within the Visa Innovation Program Europe.

Since 2019, the Türkiye Edition has evolved into a key hub for innovation — connecting fintechs with Visa partners across 15+ countries and enabling meaningful pilots, partnerships, and investment opportunities.

This year also marked important milestones for the region:

The first AI-focused collaboration to emerge from VIPE Türkiye

Mall IQ becoming the first VIPE startup to become a Visa supplier

New investments secured by MagicPay (ENA Ventures) and Recepta (White Hill Capital)

As the program continues to expand — now active across 8 new markets in Northern Europe — Türkiye remains a foundational pillar of VIPE’s mission: empowering ambitious founders and accelerating impactful innovation across financial services.

We look forward to the next chapter of the Visa Innovation Program Europe Türkiye Edition and to supporting the founders, partners, and innovators driving the future of fintech across the region.

Founder Testimonials: What Türkiye Fintechs Say About VIPE

A signature element of the Visa Innovation Program Europe is the experience of the founders themselves. Below are reflections from participating fintechs in the 2025 cycle:

Corpowid

I would summarize VIPE’s value to us in two parts. First, the mentorship we received during our expansion into Europe helped us better understand the business culture and expectations. Second, the program led directly to action, and we began working with major banks both in Türkiye and abroad, with some collaborations still ongoing. I wholeheartedly recommend the program to any founder considering it.

MagicPay

Throughout the program, the most valuable gain for us was understanding Visa’s vision up close and shaping our own perspective through it. We even prepared our investor deck together with the VIPE team. Being part of the program and feeling Visa’s support behind us significantly strengthened our credibility in front of investors.

Mall IQ

We had long-standing plans for European expansion that had been postponed over time. VIPE helped us accelerate and activate these plans. We are now at the signing stage for several pilot projects. The main reason this process progressed so quickly and with such strong focus was the support we received from Visa.

Text2Test

VIPE brought clarity to many areas, from how we should position our product to how we should communicate with customers. Our presentations, messaging, and priorities matured significantly throughout the process. From day one, we felt we were part of a well-designed program where every detail was carefully considered.

Zuzzuu

We expected a program that would guide us in the right direction and connect us with global players beyond Türkiye. VIPE delivered exactly that. We gained a much deeper understanding of the dynamics of the financial world and reshaped our strategy accordingly.
